We serve a wide range of facilities, along with their engineering, mechanical, and installation contractors, as well as renowned engineering design houses, from our well-stocked facilities in Little Island, Co. Cork, and Dunboyne, Co. Meath.

1978
Mick O'Shea established the business, initially providing service to local Pharmaceutical Plants in the Cork Region using a one-person, van-based approach.

1980
Constructed a 6,000 square foot warehouse in Cork City and gradually expanded the team to ten individuals, demonstrating a commitment to becoming a consistently reliable supply partner.

1996
Due to growth, the business relocated to a new 15,000 square foot unit in Little Island, located outside the City.

2011
Established a depot in Dunboyne with 10,000 sq. ft. stockholding.

2015
Acquired new 20,000 sq. ft. premises in Little Island Cork (U31) to service the increased growth.

2016
Moved into a new custom finished premises to cater for 40+ Cork based staff and increase stock level.

2018
Underwent a rebranding initiative and became known as the Petrochem Group.

2020
Expanded operations in Little Island, increasing warehouse capacity from 25,000 square feet to 55,000 square feet.

2021
Petrochem acquired Midsteel Fittings & Flanges, based in Birmingham, UK.

Today
The company currently employs a total of 72 staff members, with an additional 35 team members in the UK.
